Strathalbyn South Australia
Hello and welcome to Strathalbyn South Australia.
One of South Australia's prettiest towns just 45 minutes south east of Adelaide by road.
First settled in 1842 Strathalbyn has become a town that knows and proudly displays its history.
The High Street and Commercial Street precincts are separated by the Angas river that winds through the town and provides a great place for a picnic on its grassy banks. High Street provides the backdrop to our historic past with antique shops, eateries and art gallery. Commercial Street is the commercial hub of the town that provides for all the necessities of everyday life.
Whilst we treasure our past, Strathalbyn, has modern shopping and accommodation facilities, so why not stop by and pay us a visit.
Other nearby attractions are the Langhorne Creek wineries, Lake Alexandrina at Milang and Clayton Bay.
If you are travelling east why not take the ferry across the Murray river at Wellington and call into the Wellington Court house museum and cafe. Previously a National Trust Property, now under redevelopment by private owners
